Roles

Kapstan uses a role-based access control (RBAC) system to manage user permissions. Each role has specific capabilities and operates at either the organization or environment level.

Organization level roles

Admin

The Admin role provides the highest level of access in your organization.

Capabilities:

• Manage organization
• Manage environments
• Manage services
• Manage connections
• Manage user roles
• Manage subscription
• View cloud cost dashboard

Environment level roles

Environment admin

Environment admins have full access to their assigned environments.

Capabilities:

• Manage environment settings
• Manage services
• Manage connections
• Manage user roles
• View cloud cost dashboard

Application developer

Application developers can view, configure, and deploy services within their assigned environment.

Capabilities:

• View environment settings
• View services
• Deploy, uninstall, and configure services
• View connections
