Ray serve app, advanced alerting, and more
We’re excited to kick off the year with an awesome set of new features and enhancements. Here’s what’s new in Kapstan over the past few weeks:
Ray serve app
Ray serve is a well known framework for deploying AI/ML models. We added the support for creating Ray Serve app, enabling scalable and secure deployment of AI models directly from the Kapstan platform.
Advanced Slack alerts
Introduced alerts for common Kubernetes issues, including service crashes and out-of-memory (OOM) events. No changes are required for existing Slack connections to benefit from these additional alerts.
Simplified roles
User roles have been streamlined to just three primary roles: Administrator, Environment Administrator and Application Developer. We are all ears to your feedback in improving access control in the platform.
UX refresh
- Environment management: Unified the infrastructure and application sections into a singular Services section for a streamlined view of the environment. With this environment settings have been moved under environments for more intuitive navigation. Also, we have introduced a new and simplified environment creation workflow.
- Connections: We have enhanced the process for creating and managing connections with support guides for each connection.
Other enhancements
- Startup commands and args: Added the ability to configure startup commands and arguments for container services and cron jobs.
- Richer context in service list: Now you can quickly see which services have configuration differences and view details about the last deployment, including who performed it.
- Unique URLs per environment: Each environment now has a unique URL structure, making it easier to share and collaborate seamlessly.
