Pre-deploy job​

Often, it's necessary to run a job before starting our services to perform tasks like database migration, running required scripts, or populating secrets. Now, with Kapstan, you can provision such jobs using the Pre-deploy job feature. Simply add a pre-deploy job for an application, and it will execute every time before the main application starts.

Unapplied configurations changes​

One of the most requested features was the ability to view unapplied configuration changes, and we are excited to announce that it is now available! You can now review all pending configuration changes before deploying your application.

Spot instances support​

With Kapstan, you can now run your applications on Spot instances to optimize cost. Simply navigate to the Hardware tab under application configuration and enable the Run on Spot option. This will deploy your application on Spot instances in the cloud, helping you optimize expenses.

Other enhancements​

  • Deployment Notes: You can now attach a note with each deployment to specify the reason for the deployment.
  • EKS Version Upgrade: Existing customers now benefit from EKS version 1.29.
  • RDS Certificate Upgrade: RDS certificates have been upgraded for all AWS environments.
